SMARTFIND PLUStm 406 MHz EPIRB with Built-In GPS
The SMARTFIND PLUS G5 406 GPS EPIRB features an integral 12 channel GPS receiver within a compact and rugged case providing an additional high level of accuracy The GPS receiver enables position information to be transmitted to the rescue services at regular intervals. This can greatly reduce the time it takes for the rescue services to arrive on the scene. The 121.5 MHz homing transmitter further aids casualty location.

The SMARTFIND EPIRBs work by transmitting radio signals which are detected worldwide by the COSPAS-SARSAT satellite network. A distress signal is automatically relayed through an automatic ground station to a control center where it is decoded and the distress and registration details are passed on to the relevant search and rescue authority.

The SMARTFIND EPIRBs are GMDSS compliant, USCG and FCC approved. It has a high-bright LED flashing locator light and comprehensive diagnostic and self test system.
